Kendra Delaney

Hello everyone, my name is Kendra Delaney and this is my 8th year being a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant here at SCE and my first year being a co-leader for No Place for Hate. My daughter who is Kindergartner here at SCE and I are Colorado Natives. We love the mountains, playing outdoors and going on adventures. I attended Colorado State University and received my B.S. in Human Development and Family Studies with the emphasis of Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I found an area I fell in love with which was Speech Pathology, two of my nephews were in Speech and I would go to therapy with them. I loved seeing all the aspects of speech in their sessions and how meaningful and rewarding it was.  So I decided to attend Metro State University to receive my certification to become a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant. From there I was able to obtain a position here at Sand Creek Elementary. Working with children and seeing them succeed is the most rewarding career I could ever have. I work closely with our Speech Language Pathologist Laura McCormick who I could not ask for a better mentor. The staff and community at Sand Creek has become a second family to me and I hope to be here for many more years.
