Keri Morton

Hello Sand Creek Families!

The 20/21 school year will be my 4th year as a school social worker at Sand Creek Elementary and I love working for DCSD! Prior to this, I was a social worker for Jeffco Public Schools and have also worked in residential treatment facilities as well as day treatment centers. I received my Masters in Social Work at the University of Denver and my Bachelors in Psychology at Westminster College. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and I am passionate about supporting students with their social and emotional needs to function optimally in the classroom environment and beyond.

As a school social worker, I am a member of the Special Education team and support students who need social and emotional skill development in order to succeed in the general education classroom. I also work to provide school wide interventions to support healthy social/ emotional growth in all students, provide short term groups for general education students who are struggling in the classroom setting and intervene in crisis situations.

My resource page includes information regarding crisis support, counseling services, special education information, free/reduced/financial support and parenting resources. Please contact me if you need further assistance in these areas.  Mrs. Morton's Resource Pg
