What do you need to register?

*Completed Registration Packet

*Student(s) Birth Certificate (state-certified preferred)

*Student(s) Immunization Record (per Colorado law)

*Proof of Residence 

(Examples include a Warranty Deed, Deed of Trust, Tax
Notice, Lease Agreement, Assessor Page, or Notarized Letter from the person
you are living with if you are living with someone and your name doesn't
appear on the proof of residency (a copy of their Proof of Residency must
also be provided at the time of enrollment)).

Kindergarten Registration is now Open.

Full-day Kindergarten is free in the Douglas County School District.

Your child must be be 5 years old by October 1, 2023

Kindergarten Supply List 

Open Enrollment 

The Douglas County School District embraces parent and student choice by offering a wide variety of pathways to learning, including neighborhood schools, charter, magnet, online learning as well as home education options.

First Round Open Enrollment will open on November 2nd and closes on December 1st at 4pm. Schools will extend offers of open enrollment based on space availability by December 8th. Parents can see offers in the EngagED Parent Portal on December 12th at 8:00am and have until December 19th at 4:00 pm, to log back in and accept any open enrollment offers. In the event you did not receive any offers during First Round, you will remain on a waitlist for Second Round of Open Enrollment, which opens on January 23nd at 8:00 am.

**Second Round Open Enrollment runs from January 23, 2023 through August 1, 2023 at 4:00pm.  If you were put on the wait list during the first round, you will still be on that list for the second round. Schools will ONLY reach out to you if and when a spot becomes available**

If you are open enrolled at a neighborhood school or attend a charter but would like to return to the neighborhood school associated with your address for the next school year you must file an Intent to Return  by January 10, 2023.

If you are moving within the district but would like to remain at your current school, you may do so by filing an Intent to Remain form at any time.
