My name is Liz Smith, and I am a fourth grade teacher at Sand Creek Elementary. I have a long history at SCE. My 19 year old son was a student at SCE from Kindergarten through 6th grade, and I currently have a third grade son who is also here. I worked as an EA at Sand Creek for several years when my older son was a student, and then more recently, I was a substitute teacher and spent a couple years in and out of Sand Creek before deciding to make it my full time home once more. I am currently finishing up my first year towards a Master's Degree in Education. I look forward to many years of watching the kids of SCE grow and learn and am thrilled to be a part of it! In addition to my two boys, I have a 29 year old daughter who lives in NYC, and works for the NYPD. In my free time, I love to hang out with my kids and furry friends, visit the ocean, and make jewelry.
Hello, I’m Lori Sposato, and I am thrilled to be back teaching in 4th grade! I grew up in Connecticut and am proudly a UCONN Husky. I love being outdoors whether it be walking, paddle boarding, camping, boating, traveling, hiking, biking or simply being. I have spent 30 years in education across grades 3, 4, & 5 and joined Sand Creek way back in 2000. I have even been lucky to have had my own daughter attend here! I enjoy being a part of the Sand Creek community. I believe that each child has talents and strengths which shine with nurturing and that education opens the door to life long learning. I aim to share the joy I find through learning with the students who come to our school.
