I am very excited to teach 3rd grade this year at Sand Creek Elementary after being part of the SCE family for a little over two years! I have a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and a Master's degree in Genetics. Teaching is a second career that began when my son was diagnosed with Dyslexia. I participated in his Orton-Gillingham (OG) tutoring lessons, joined the parent advocacy group DCKID (Douglas County Kids Identified with Dyslexia), and then trained as an OG Associate. My husband and daughter are also neurodiverse learners. My family has taught me first hand that not everyone learns the same way. I'm committed to creating a welcoming and supportive classroom where all student can be successful! We live in Highlands Ranch with our bearded dragon, Spike. We like to ski, hik, and travel to National Parks together.
