B.A.S.E./Adventure Club

Welcome to our B.A.S.E. Program at Sand Creek Elementary!

Our Mission is to promote the safety, well-being, and development of every child while partnering with school and community to be the best choice for families.

Base team The SCE B.A.S.E. Program is a child-care program available to all students who attend Sand Creek Elementary School grades Kindergarten through Sixth. We offer our program before school and after school, as well as a full-day option during breaks.

Hours of operation are:

Before School: 6:30 - 9:05 AM
After School: 4:00 - 6:00 PM
Full Days: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year will begin May 1st 2024. Current families, please watch your email for instructions on how to re-register your child!

Summer calendars in SCW will go live on Monday, April 29th 2024 by 12 noon. Don't miss your chance to sign your child up for our fun summer!

Base kids

Once your child is enrolled for the B.A.S.E. program, you will receive an “approval” email. Once approved, you can then go to the School Cares Work Portal Link and register on the calendar under “Attendance.” You may register by the week, weeks, or month.

Registration will always be due by Wednesday at midnight for the following week to avoid any late fees. All space is first come, first serve. Please double check days before submitting, as registered days are not reimbursable.

Quick Reminders:

If your child is sick, please do not send them to the program and review our handbook policy regarding children who are ill.
Please pack snacks as needed for each session. SCE B.A.S.E does not provide snacks for children.

Families must have a current registration for your child to attend. Children can attend until June 30th 2024 under the 2023-2024 school year registration. If your child would lie to attend after July 1st 2024, a 2024-2025 registration MUST be completed. Please see a SCE BASE Team member if you have additional questions.

Complaints regarding violations of Title VI, (race, national origin), Title IX (sex, gender), Section 504/ADA (handicap or disability), may be filed directly with the Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education, 1244 North Speer Blvd., Suite 310, Denver, CO 80204. Complaints regarding violations of Title VII (employment) and the ADEA (prohibiting age discrimination in employment) may be filed directly with the Federal Office of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 303 E. 17th Ave., Suite 510, Denver, CO 80202, or the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, 1560 Broadway, Suite 1050, Denver, CO 80202.

NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

Special Education records which have been collected by Douglas County School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of special education in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for the period of five (5) years after special education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, or completes his/her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district. This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of Douglas County School District's intent to destroy the special education records of students who exited special education services as of June 30, 2016. These records will be destroyed in accordance with state law unless the parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student notifies the school district otherwise. After five years, the records are no longer useful to the district, but may be useful to the parent/guardian or former student in applying for social security benefits, rehabilitation services, college entrance, etc. The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student may request a copy of the records by requesting the records at this link ( Douglas County School District Transcripts and Records Requests ).
