Welcome to Mrs. Anton's page!
Hello! I am excited to have the opportunity to teach at Sand Creek Elementary School this school year! It will be my fifth year here, and I am looking forward to continuing to provide intensive interventions. I am the Kindergarten - Third grades Case Manager for mild/moderate needs students with IEPs. Here is a little more information about my experience...
My family and I moved to Highlands Ranch in 2017 from Ormond Beach, Florida. I have had the privilege of teaching exceptional students in the public school setting since 2011. Prior to that, I was a Behavior Specialist for a couple of private schools for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and high behavior needs. I have also worked as a Project Coordinator/Social Worker for an inner-city school in Charlotte, North Carolina.
I obtained a Bachelor's in Social Work, Minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have received extensive training in ABA therapy through the Bancroft Center of Excellence and the Florida Institute of Technology. In 2017, I obtained a Master's in Education Degree in Exceptional Student Education and an Interventionist Certificate through Project Bridges, a grant funded project through the Office of Special Education Programs, at the University of Central Florida.
